sony clie's memory stick

You might want to check out Sears, they have been closing them out slowly. My local store closed all of them out. I picked up 2 - 16, 1 - 32, and 1 - 64 for around 160.00 after tax. Can't remember the breakdown of prices. I originally saw a thread here about them closing out the 8 or 16, but when I checked, they were clearancing all of them. The 32 and 64 are great for my Sony Cybershot. The other 2 - 16 I sold to people I sold the extra Clie's I had.

Staples carries these. Enough said! 🙂

PS. Oh, and the price for this post if $77.25 for a 64mb stick.

the memory stick can't be used to run apps from, only to store them. their main use, however, is to store media (pics. mov clips. etc).

STAPLES IS SUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Just called to get the items and they said that each one you get you pay shipping of $27 for.
Hence, each you get is like $105 or so. That means 2 would be $210, etc. -- spoils the whole deal.

So they make the deal complete crap. Its cheaper to buy it from moreaudiovideo.com

Still, if staples, let me buy two and I would apply 30 off of 150, that would be awesome deal.

Staples sucks!!!!!

W(in)T(flying)F are you babbling about?
you're a moron, a complete loon.

staples doesn't suck...about 10% of the deals on this board is from staples.com. just cos you can't get your mem sticks at the price you want, doesnt justify your naysaying and $chitslinging. why were you dumb enough to buy sony in the first place? fully knowing that you would have to eventually buy a proprietory mem stick? your threadcrapping also demonstrates a complete lack of effort. why dont you call back and see if you can get another csr who will baby-feed you your deal?

You could try this:

PCMall.com - $80.99 + $10.99 overnight shipping = $91.98.
PriceMatch at Staples.com and buy two for $183.96 - $30 coupon = $153.96.

That's about $77 a pop shipped. Not an amazing deal, but not a bad one, either. 😕

I had a clie last fall. I found online the directions on how to be able to run programs from the memory stick. That was a long time ago though, and I no long have the link. You can try searching www.pdalive.com or any of those other PDA forum sites.

There is an app that runs apps from the memory stick...it is called msautorun .... check Sony's website for the download. Only limitation is that you can only run one app from the memory stick unless you reconfigure it to run another. You can also run a database from the memory stick using the same program. There is supposed to be a new version coming that allows you to run more than one app from the memory stick. Also, be sure to upgrade the unit to the new Palm OS also available from Sony's website.

If you need something to push one stick over $100 (to apply the $25 coupon), try Belkin surge protector bundle (item number 458722) for $29.99 minus the $20.00 rebate.

Zwingle - thanks for the tips, i'll look around and see what i can find. btw, what's the advantage of updating the OS? faster?

Not faster, but better organized and you can fit more on the system. Email me @ hoo_knows@yahoo....I have quite a selection aof apps for download......on my ftp.

Dudes, I've already done this staples deal. Manager looked at me and gave me the stink eye and finally said go ahead. So it's like this: What ever Staples price is, PM to $77.25, buy 2, that's now $154.5, use the Staples coupons, $30 off a $150 purchase and since I'm in So. Cal it's +8% tax, so you're out the door at $134.46. All at a B&M. That's Way Cool. Ü

If you use the Sony "Improve your Memory Rebate" it's another $50 back to your wallet, but it's expired. Still on Sony web site though, so I'm gonna send that in today.
Improve your Memory Link

Keep a heads up all. Staple's has sent out a memo to it's managers about coupons. The manager that did the OK was busy and couldn't remember what was said though.

I already reserve 2 64mb memstick @ one staples in my area about 20miles away co'z all staple in my area are all out. Plan to pick it up later today. Does anybody want 1 of the 64mb for $88 shipped? email me logicz@yahoo.com

I'll let you know when I get back later.

<< I agree, the managers are being a bit more stingy concerning PMs and use of coupons >>

that's cuz they don't wanna get fired.
