Sony Clie Software to Connect to IrDA?

I bought my mom a Sony clie for her birthday and her PC has a Ir Sensor built in to her computer and I was wondering what is some good software to transfer files back and forth to the PDA?

You don't need any software, just line up the Ir ports and the computer will detect it and establish a connection. Then just transfer the files using the 'beam' feature on the PDA and the Ir transfer window on the PC.

How can I manage files or edit files? I'm a complete noob when it comes to PDAs. I have a Samsung S105 and I downloaded some software so i can manage phone numbers in my sim card and such or edit my schedule on my phone. Is there a similar piece of software that can do that?
