There seem to be several deal going on using MSN Holiday reward. So I'll just point this very interesting deal out to everyone who wants to get for him/herself or as a X'mas gift.

1) Buy $250 Super GC from Giftcertificates.com, use the code found Here to get free $50
2) After getting both $250 and free $50, redeem them to get 800.com GC
3) After getting 800.com GC, go there and add Sony PEG-T415 to the cart (don't forget to add something cheap ie. batteries) check out using MSN Passport.
4) All in all, you only pay $250 but you'll get

Sony CLIE PEG-T415 (priced at $299.95)
32MB Memory Stick
$60 Cash Reward back from MSN Holiday Reward
$50 800.com GC to spend on anything you want

To sum this deal up, after cash reward, it will cost you $190 for Sony PEG-T415, 32MB memory stick and $50 800.com GC

Damn you, I say damn you!

Now I am considering buying this to replace my Sony Clie PEG-S320 which I got for $135 from Dell ...

How is this BETTER and what does this have that the S320 does not have?

Hehehe......I also got S320 from the previous thread, think you remember that. Lucky me, Dell is on backorder for that one. So I'll just cancel that and get this instead.
PEG-S320 was around $127-128 which is a damn good deal. But this one also looks interesting since there're free 32mb stick and free $50 GC to spend.

Someone helps me find reviews please

DAMN YOU! :|

Great Deal, NO MONEY! :disgust:

I'm debating if I should sell off my Visor Platinum for it (should get at least $150 has 3-year staples PDA warranty!)... but that would mean I'd have to sell my Stowaway as well

<< * get $46.95 back from the Sony Rebate for memory stick in January/February >>

I could be wrong but from the rebate form it looks more like they will mail you a memory stick instead of paying you back for one you already purchased.

Still sounds like a hot deal, though.

<< net cost = 250 - 46.95 - 60 = ~$143 WOW! At least if you're patient.... >>

Don't you have to pay that $46.95 up front to get the rebate back in the same amount?

If so, total cost would still be the same. That's what I said in my first post.

In order to receive a free 32mb stick, you have to mail a rebate form and then, they will send you one.

You got it right kevin80

Either way would work.........even if you pay part of it with GC and the rest with CC as long as you check out with Passport Express Checkout.

Grrr....I hate you. I would have never even found out about the T415 had it not been for this thread, and if it weren't such a good deal I wouldn't have bought it. I was planning to buy GTA3 for my PS2 tomorrow anyway, so this deal works out even better since I can use the free $50 for that. Wow...this isn't even going to end up costing any money once I sell my S320 and the memory stick that comes with this new one.

Hmm...maybe I don't hate you so much now. Thanks!

unfortunately, i could not get this to work. when using the MSN passport feature, the only payment options were Visa, MC, Disc,AMEX, and MSN Gift certificate. there was NO option for the 800.com gift certificates. if you dont use the MSN passport checkout, 800.com normally gives you 3 boxes to put your GCs in, and a spot for a credit card.

let me know if anyone got this work!

thanks.

did you actually buy the gift certificate? i bought it and am waiting for the certificate number to arrive by email, but from what i gathered from the site it looks like you go through their site to check out and that's how they credit the gift certificate. i could be completely wrong though...i'm seriously amped up on mountain dew right now and i'm not completely with-it.

That would sux.............you might wanna check out other thread related to MSN Reward deal. I don't remember which but mostly digital camera and PDA deal.

Oh........wait, there's one talking about PEG-N760C, might wanna ask people there whether someone actually got in on the deal using GC.

EDIT: Ok........I just tried it out at Ashford and there were only VISA, MASTER, DISCOVER, AMEX and MSN GC to choose from.

The only way to get the deal using GC that I can think of is checking out using Passport Express Purchase button, then submit your CC#. After getting a confirmation email (which is pretty quick), call their customer service and ask them to change the type of payment to GC. This might or might not work, please don't take my words. Call 800.com and ask them if it's possible to change the type of payment after placing an order...........I think this is doable but don't know if MSN will catch up on this.

how's this deal compare to the IPAQ 3635 for ~$200? any thoughts? (I dislike the Sony's proprietary memory sticks, but don't know anything else about the CLie)

MSN might not catch on as long as 800.com customer service only changes your method of payment and does NOT cancel your order. If your order is CANCELLED and re-entered then you can kiss your MSN Passport $20 off $100 good bye.

I still haven't opened my Clie PEG-S320 from CC for $119 after rebate, could return that for $169 and get this.

Hmmn.

Hmmm...I just got a "your order could not be processed" email from giftcertificates.com. When I called up, they said that the coupon code was intended for business-to-business use only, so they cancelled my order. I wonder if it would work if I specified that the certificate was for Business use instead of Personal use. Hmm.

I actually went ahead and did this deal.

I bought the GC, it arrived, $250 and $50

then i redeem, it arrived, $250 and $50

then i went to check out with MSN passport , on the final page before submit, you can change payment option, once you click there, you can use the GC.

So that means, we have to put in a CC# first, then on the next step, we can change it to GC?

WOW...........that sounds like a great solution.

I have got a problem with Giftcertificates.com as well. Got email saying they need voice confirmation, then they told me on the phone that I have already used the code.
That sounds really weird since I used different email address to set up account (using Amex Private payment#)..............How did they catch that?

I bought three. I saved 50 dollars on the first one and I'm getting 100 dollars back with the passport on the other 2. Plus $150 in gift checks from 800.com

$300 in savings means one of them is free!

Assuming I use the gift checks.

Thanks siamskunk

AHHH! OOS now. Kevin...you need to return one of those. :) They'd better get them back in before the 19th so I can get my free $50 certificate or I'll be pissed.
