A nice story, but some part of it is untrue. Doesn't really matter which part, but as already mentioned anyone who has Duracells (for example) can prove it from the different cell construction attributes and that "made in China" on them.

Please check your facts, hearsay does not counter direct evidence!

I also have Duracell packages, which state:

"Made in China/Fabrique en Chine/Hecho en China"

Look at the cells next, examine them closely then tell us they are the same. They are not.

Well I just did a google search.. looks like duracell has batteries from both china and japan. So I guess we are both right.



Yes both are right, except depends what time period you're talking about. I BELIEVE Duracell changed OEM's, a few years back all were made in China, but the recent ones have different packaging and are labelled as "Made in Japan".
