Don't know about high-end stuff. After reading lots of stuff on 17-18" LCD it didn't mention this LCD to be a super performer. How about Samsung or Planar LCD, they got great reviews.

Samsung makes excellent LCD monitors, but they're very expensive.

I thought samsung was the cheaper stuff? I have 2 15" panels a viewsonic and a dell.. but i wish i had a sony.

the price isnt bad at all for a 18 incher.

Before you get this particular Sony, check out at CC. Last time I saw, they were not as sharp as my Samsung 570V. Too bad, I thought Sony is better in monitor. Probably only this particular model. I won't get it but it's only my preference.
