thought it was a fucking TERRIBLE finale. it just felt like such a fucking cop out.

running into vick mackey to die? pffft whatever that shit was lame as hell. just so stupid.

that said, i'm pretty sure there is no way i would have been 100% satisfied i don't think with any way they ended it. but i just thought this was terrible.

Shit was that Vick? I completely missed that.

Sutter is such a tool... this show had so much more potential. I'm not saying I wanted a PG-rated show, but... like this last episode. Why do we need to see a girl with a huge hail-damaged ass sitting on a dude's face? You want that going on in the background? Fine, whatever... but even if it's for a few seconds, this episode is way too important to throw a shot like that in.

But that sums up the show to me, I guess. It just tried way too hard to be edgy and shocking - you get so numb to brains on the wall that they just kept trying to up the "WTF?!" factor in those scenes. A scene like the Chinese mowing down all the hookers should have had a huge impact. Instead it was just like... meh.

Anyway - the finale was alright. Predictable for sure. Could have been much worse (Dexter, Weeds).

I was hoping Jax was somehow going to lead the police to some IRA gun warehouse or something. I mean, why lead the police on a chase if he just intended to slam into the first big rig in the oncoming lane? At it stands he really left the club in pretty bad shape... he basically took out all the local leaders (again), which just means the next guy in line (or a guy higher up the chain) in each group is going to be out for the Sons' blood.

And Sutter said a while back that there wasn't going to be a happy ending. He chickened out. I was expecting (hoping) to see the whole club destroyed ... possibly one or more of his sons murdered too. To me this *was* a happy ending. Gemma got what she deserved. Jax (supposedly) leaves his club in a better place. And Jax essentially escapes punishment for all his mis-guided actions by taking his own life.

Would have been cool if the cops stopped him from killing himself and he actually ended up rotting in prison. Or whatever. Something that actually invoked a reaction. Instead, I just sat there, watched the truck hit him, and was like "yep".

Ugh... and don't get me started on all the biblical imagery in that last scene. I'll say it again... Sutter is a tool.

Thoughts? Anyone notice he wasn't limping this episode and that it was never brought up?

Yeah, where was the f'ing limp? That's the type of crap that drove me nuts with this show. And the homeless woman... if there was a point to her appearances I missed it. "It's time". For what? Did she know he needed the blanket to kill Marks? I wouldn't have been totally shocked if it cut to Jax banging her behind a dumpster. The stupid moments in this show really dragged it down the last few seasons.

Still a good show, and glad I watched it, but disappointed because it could have been so much better.

She is Emily, she's the mother of the girl who died when Jax's father ran into the truck. She's actually been in the show during emotional death parts of the show all along....she represents ghost/death/reaper..whatever you wanna call it.

Now the part that bugged me is that on the courthouse steps Jax guns down 2 people and no one says or notices anything.

Overall I liked the finale, just wish the club had done it...

Meh my issue was that towards these last few seasons the show was way too formumatic.

Shit happens > the MC things of some elaborate master plan > they are in the clear > Shit happens > the MC things of some elaborate master plan > etc etc.

Grrr...so, why didn't they arrest Jax when he made the statement ? While the APB might have been lifted from hitting Unser, he was still wanted for what he did trying to get away.

You mean that armed car jacking? Yeah, everyone forgot about that even the viewers.

Whatever, the show is over and I think they managed to get every person from The Shield into the show at least once.

Jax just picks the first random truck to come along and its Milo. What are the odd?

Now if Jax had not killed Gemma and she was in the truck with Milo, that would have been epic!

The cop he shoots at doesn't shoot back? And then50 police cars and bikes follow him at a fairly slow speed, and none of them try to pull in front and cut him off? None approach from the other direction? Totally unbelievable ending.

Or he could have drove off in a car, or at least removed his jacket, and got away free for now...I doubt they could check every motorcycle on the road...

pretty sure Julien never made an appearance. and probably won't make one in anything for a long time, if ever 😀

yeah there were only a couple sheild people on the show, although they were definitely some of the major players on the shield.

i cant remember if dutch was on SOA or justified. pretty sure he was on one of them.

have you been watching for the last 7 seasons? none of it should be thought of as believable. what should have happened is when he spread his arms and about to hit the truck, should have whispered "jesus christ", wink at the camera, and cut to black.

(as it stands i don't think there was a single utterance of 'jesus christ' in the finale)

he was in that season with the FBI chick with the weird lips. SoA was pretty much a shield/deadwood mashup

According to this she's not officially Emily... and if she is, she's, I guess, the ghost of the woman who was killed by JT? And I guess I forgot/missed that her daughter is the one who looks like a 15 year old boning Ratboy.

I don't recall seeing Paula Garces, which was a shame... (aka Tina, aka the hot chick), or "Danny" the other female cop.

Looking back at this season vs the last, there was more time per episode, and hardly none of that aftertalk crap.
Oh well.
