this season has been AMAZING, probably the best since season 1, if not better than season 1. ssssoooooo much shit is about to go down. it's so hard to wait week in and week out for this show. every episode gets better and better!

This season has been...weird. If things keep going like they have been, I expect this will be the last season of the show.
I'm very disappointed that
they killed off Piney. He was one of my favorite characters...and the only one that actually reminded me of the 1% bikers I knew in my youth.
I expect to see
Wayne get killed off next. He's going to try to protect Tara...and Clay will kill him.
I'm also suspecting the black sheriff to join the SAMCRO side against the US Attorney. He's pulling shit that doesn't seem to sit well with the sheriff...especially the crap involving Juice. (brotha's gotta take care of a brotha) I don't think he'll become fully corrupt like Wayne was, but I think he'll start allying more with the Sons.
yah season 3 is my least favorite of them all. i think a lot of it had to do with where they were. it wasn't the same not being in charming. but it did have some great parts as well.
this season just has so much shit going down.
i was also pissed when piney was killed. and i really wanted opie to know it was clay, and then somehow it comes out that clay is why his wife is dead and the he is the one responsible for the hit on tara, and then opie and jax just totally fuck him up.
that is what im hoping for in this season. even more so after tonights episode.
Holy Crap this season has been good. Season 1 = Season 4 > Season 2 > Season 3.
I think this or next season will be the last, there's really nowhere else they can take it, but that's ok, it's had a great run, and this is an awesome season.
Started watching show this season, liked it so much I paused in the middle and am DVRing and catching up the rest on netflix starting with season 1. I'll probably skip season 3 as it's not quite as readily available. Show is pretty good.
*** SPOILER FROM LAST NIGHT'S EPISODE, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ***
Those 2 guys in the black van... they weren't really mexican/"Cartel", were they??
I mean sure they were muttering in spanish while the doctor lady was still in the van, but after she escaped and they drove off, the driver asked them if they were okay in a very American accent. And they didn't look mexican (sorry), they looked american. They actually had the stereotypical "spec ops" look to them.
Dunno, for some reason I think they're somebody else. Because the assassin was actually hanging out at the park with them.

First of all, don't be an asshole. Use the spoiler tags for those who haven't seen the show yet...
I didn't think they were Mexican either, (for the same reasons you did) but later in the show, Clay is talking with his cartel contacts, and when Clay asked what happened, the Mexican told him "Your VP happened," which makes me think the attempted snatch & grab was part of the hit.
I'm also surprised that SOA doesn't have a proper "official" thread. Might not be the best written show on TV, but it's one of the most entertaining and definitely my favorite.
I've been thinking lately that it's close to jumping the shark. Obviously, a lot of crazy shit happens on a regular basis, but it's always made sense in the scope of the show. But with
Clay going around having everyone killed and generally making the worst decisions imaginable
, it's gotten a little ridiculous. IMO, the only way the show can redeem itself and keep from jumping the shark is if
Clay dies, and stat. Like by the end of this season...
. They like to write themselves out of messy situations on the show, but I don't see a way around it, and I feel like if it doesn't happen, the Sons will lose a lot of credibility.
I also don't think
Unser will at Clay's hands. He's been a tragic character the whole series, but that would be too much. He needs some kind of salvation. Maybe they take each other out or something
However, I do agree with your earlier post regarding
the sheriff. While I don't necessarily think he'll become an ally, I think he'll accept the lesser evil and stop antagonizing the Sons. Closer to Hale's character than Unser's.
Whatever happens in these next few episodes will almost guaranteed be crazy. I'm excited for the long episode next week, and apparently Kurt Sutter got FX to produce a last minute extra episode for the season. Bet some good stuff is in store.

The White Buffalo gets lots of play on SOA. This song was used last season and became one of my favorite:
See, I don't see Clay's actions this season as being 'jumping the shark' really. His hands are getting increasingly worse, he KNOWS his time is short. He is desperate to make his money before he is forced out and is getting increasingly erratic with that desperation. At this point he's blinded to anything but retiring with several million, and he's become the blatant heel the show always lacked. I like watching the chaos it creates, and how it's finally opening up what truly happened to Jax's father. Just a great season all-around
In the Soprano's, I reckon the they used the "C" word 50x over 6 seasons let alone how many times they used the "Gordon Ramsey", yet there's no proper swearing in the world of outlaw MC gangs....
