Sonic boom just shook my entire building. . .

I was just sitting here, wasting time on OT, when a loud bang shook my apartment. It was quiet it the room, so it really scared me at the time. It was so loud it sounded like an explosion in the woods behind the apartments. That's the second one today! Those crazy pilots at the air force base down the road need to keep it under the sound barrier--my nerves can't take it today. Just thought I'd vent.

I suppose this won't make you much happier, but according to the rules, the sonic boom's caster must discard a card plus pay one colorless and one red mana. No caster may have more than 4 of the same card.

I believe flying over inhabited land faster than the sound barrier is illegal, so the pilots are probably getting a good smacking from their CO.

I thought it was illegal too, but it happens all the time around here. I guess I could call and complain, but I'm too lazy, and it's not that big of a deal. That last one was just really loud. Now that I'm thinking of it, I saw one of those big AWACS (or however you spell it) planes flying around the other day. Those things look pretty cool.

Well... how far are you from the air base?

It's about 20 miles away. It's Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, GA. It's a huge base that employs about 25,000 civilian and military. And I just realized every sentence begins with It's. Oh well.

Up until recently, the base was home to a B1 Bomber squadron. It was really cool watching those huge planes flying around. And if you drive by at night, sometimes you'll see a fighter jet taking off with the huge blue flames coming out of the engines. Pretty neat.
