Sweet Child O' Mine - Aerosmith (not the radio version with its 1 second intro)

Money - Pink Floyd

hahahahahah
Oh c'mon... are you telling me that a soporific bassline repeated ad nauseum doesn't get you pumped up for some Steven Tyler screaming?

hahahah. You're just making it worse, man. I agree with you on the song, but the song is not by Aerosmith - it's Guns N Roses. I'm perplexed by this, since Axl and Steven sound NOTHING alike.

Doh! - it's supposed to be Sweet Emotion. I got GNR in my head from the person that posted them before me... 😱

isn't sweet child o mine like 1 or 2 riffs over and over ?

I like Nothing Else Matters & Fade to Black's intros. Maybe even Disposable Heroes for pure energy. 😀

Am I Evil - Metallica
Whiskey In The Jar - Metallica
Battery - Metallica
Jane Says - Janes's Addiction
Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf

Actually, a vast majority of Metallica songs have killer openings, although many peter out afterwards.

the intro for Guns N' Roses' My Michelle has an awesome intro. the song itself is so-so but the intro is good. second vote fro stairway to heaven.

A Wilhelm Scream - The King Is Dead
Blink-182 - Carousel (the long intro version)
NOFX - We Threw Gasoline on the Fire...
NOFX - The Decline
Thrice - Kill Me Quickly

Hells Bells

The bells at my school sound like that. They play over the Public Address system. I need jack into the system and play Hell's Bells instead. It's on my to-do list for next year (senior pranks FTW).
Nice! Good Luck pulling it off! 😀

Man I forgot about fade to black, awesome intro!

I gotta give it to Money by Pink Floyd.

Honorable Mentions:
Metallica - Fade to Black
Ozzy - Crazy Train
Papa Roach - Blood Brothers
Rage Against the Machine - Wake Up

Bon Jovi - Wanted

Listen to it if you haven't heard it. I think it's the coolest intro to play on an acoustic guitar.
