Phantom Planet is Jason Schwartzman's (sp?) band. He was in Rushmore & I (heart) Huckabees.

I've never watched the OC though. Too 90210 for me, and I hate how they try to break lite versions of real bands on there. Most of the ones that I've read about are just weak, homogenized versions of decent bands. Although I did hear that the Shins were on there, and they aren't too bad.

I'm surprised 30 seconds to mars hasnt been on there - what wit Jared Leto and all. I can just imagine 13 year old female hearts breaking. I bet godawful Dashboard Confessional has a regular spot...
