Son surprises his mom with a house for Mother's Day

great story. Only downside is she has to live in that heap of shit of a city.

Edit: reminds me when Frank Lucas bought his mom a house in American Gangster. True gentlemen, these two are.

I've heard the bubble is happening all over again. Some houses have gone up 33% in less than a year in lv, az, and so. cal I don't know anyone in other parts of the housing market but this seems to be the trend.

Not surprised that it was an Asian guy that gave his mom a home. Most white folks would rather stick their mom and dad in a nursing home.

well it could have been a fixer.

that said yeah housing bubble 2.0. i'm gonna figure the son probably borrowed a bunch of FHA money to buy the house too. 175k for a house in vegas where theres tons of vacant houses seems a little crazy.

Fixer upper or no, there are better houses/bigger lots around that neighborhood built the same year for about the same selling price of $175k.
Not sure if he did his research in the 2-3 months he was looking around. ^_^

I'm gonna refinance my condo when my paycheck comes out this Friday. Hoping for my mortgage to drop a few hundred.

The son's emotion was touching but does the fact that it was a house really change anything? I don't think that I could react differently if he bought her a bouquet of flowers.

I think the fact that it's been a long-term goal does make it different type of gesture. It's one thing to buy a few flowers...it's another to save enough to buy a house and not live in it yourself.

Nice, if you had reversed white and Asian, you would probably have be banned for being a racist fuck.

But it's unpossible to be racist against whites...right? 😕

That's because you're a souless and heartless.

Hardly. I cried when I saw the kid with his cardboard arcade and people attending it. In fact, every time I walk downstairs and happen upon my mother watching The Biggest Loser, I choke up during those emotional scenes of self-doubt and elimination and obese family members dying. I suspect that you have a feminine brain, one which strongly attaches to things of material significance rather than the symbolism behind it. Do larger diamond rings make your genitalia throb harder as well?
