GAH! You got a better deal then I did on the S200, mine was in the 250's with only a 32 meg card...

i hate when that happens...someone else gets the same thing for cheaper than you!
 
smaller and easier to drop (happened to my sister, she dropped her cam within a week of getting it)
batteries cost more.
batteries arent as flexible (cant just get extra batteries for cheap)

Smaller = fit in my pocket better and easier to take around with me.
The A40 uses AA batteries while the S200 uses it's own pack that comes with the camera along with the charger. By the time you've got a good set of rechargeable batteries along w/ charger it'll cost you an extra $30 or so.

For me, S200 > A40. Now what I really want is the S230...
