Damn woman has been constantly bothering me to hang up some shelves in the finished section of our basement. I kept putting it off because I knew I would need help and she is fvcking useless when it comes to helping. However, tonight I had enough and ventured into it. She sits in a fvcking chair while I try to balance the shelf, support, and screws while making sure it remains level.

Start to use the cordless drill/screwdriver to put the screw in and the damn thing slips. Fifteen minutes later and the bleeding has finally stopped where the bit went through my finger.

I otoh, took apart our big AC, found the needed hex tools and appropriate screwdrivers on my own, performed the yearly maintance, went out to the store and selected a new AC for our bedroom. I installed 3 AC's today, house is nice and cool, hubby relaxing watching boxing now. aLso installed a new TP dispensor, and a hand held shower head for my bathroom.

Must suck to be you, lol, my husband married a gal who can handle a tool 😀

I guess we know who wears the pants in your house!

Having different abilities and skill sets is one of the nice things about marriage. My husband manages money better than I do, he's also a much better cook. He also helped me carry that new AC into the house.

I enjoy doing home projects, working with my hands sometimes,it's relaxing and totally different from the work I do at my job.

At their age, if they can remember where the pants are, I'd be impressed.

They're usually on the bedroom floor 😉

What's going to be put on the shelves?

Going to be used to display my collection of pint glasses.
OK. Why is she bothering you to put up shelves that are going to be used for your stuff?

Probably because she is more concerned with the closet space than anything. She already has two and a half of the 4 we have. Why the fvck does she need another? About 70% of the ****** she wants to stick in the closets we don't need, she won't wear, etc.

I always liked minendo so I will offer some advise. When you don't have anybody to hold up shelves for you you have to jury-rig some sort of a setup to hold them temporarily in the place you need to hang them. You can suspend them with a rope or pile up books, or bricks etc to hold them at least on one end while you hold and move the other end in place.
