I've tried the games....

Munch's, SSX Tricky, and Halo...

Munch's and Tricky I can handle. I simply cannot get used to the FPS/Halo with the MS controller....How in the hell can you be quick in your movements/while attempting to fire accurately...I'm a PC gamer/mouse and keyboard, and decent in Quake 3...

Everyone raved about Halo, but if I can't be quick and straight in firing weapons, then it's just very frustrating...:(

Face it, you're just getting old. Your reflexes are not what they used to be ;)

I'm used to playing FPSs on a PC as well and it just take practice to get used to using the X-Box controller with Halo. Halo is also setup to where you don't have to be dead-on target to be accurate. There is a bit of leeway with your shots.

Halo does have one of the best controller setups I have experienced for a FPS on a console. They were unplayable to me on the Dreamcast and a pain when I tried N64 demos.

It's probably something that you just have to get used to. As for control setup, I haven't played Halo yet, but I've sampled a bunch of different FPS games on different consoles. The classic, Goldeneye (N64), is probably the easiest to get used to, especially with the trigger button and the look button conveniently placed for the forefingers. Time Splitters (or was that Time Killers?) for the PS2 was one of the worst FPS games I've ever played. The control setup was horrific (the analog sticks were for movement and looking, so you had to use both simultaneously). Most recently, I played that new Bond game on the Gamecube. I'd have to say that although the controls don't live up to the N64 predecessor, it was pretty easy to learn. Oh, and good luck beating your kids at any game, looper, the younger they come => the more skillful they are at games.
