I didn't realize it was possible to cobble together 160 acres in Ontario without there already being a lake on it.

Front-row ocean views provide a dramatic backdrop for this classic beach cottage in San Clemente’s sought-after Capistrano Shores neighborhood. Panoramic vistas bring Catalina Island, breaking waves, the pristine shoreline and sandy beach into focus from a front terrace and an open-concept single-story floorplan that extends approximately 1,248 square feet. Enjoy the view from the beach or from a large living room with enormous picture windows. Views continue into a dining room with buffet, and an airy kitchen with white cabinetry, a peninsula with breakfast bar, a pantry and double oven. Skylights and vaulted ceilings create an open vibe throughout the residence, which includes two baths, a secondary bedroom with patio access, and a master suite with large closet, dual sinks and a shower/tub combination. Mirrored wardrobe doors, ceiling fans and an interior laundry room with extra cabinetry are also featured. Entertain by the beach on a side patio with built-in BBQ bar, a fireplace and paver-finished decking. Surf, swim, stroll and relax on the beach in front, or explore the San Clemente Costal Trail, walk to the San Clemente pier, or head out for shopping and dining moments from home. Limited to just 90 residences, the private resident-owned community of Capistrano Shores is located between San Diego and Los Angeles and only minutes from excellent schools, neighborhood parks and the vibrant Outlets at San Clemente.
Now check out the pics. :p

Holy crap that's basically my mortgage payment lol. Nothing like paying for the privilege of being told what you're not allowed to do on your own property. :p
In this case, the money pays for the 24 hour armed guard at the neighborhood entrance.

Ever wonder what Scientologists really do in their basements? You can buy John Travolta's house.

Probably something akin to the basement at the end of the movie The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

you know that saying: "don't be the most expensive house in your neighborhood?" lol, holy crap with that island. granted, a lot of those prices seem to be for empty lots. still...incredibly cheap for land, considering.

also, this isn't his airport house it seems. I guess he just didn't need to keep paying for this vacation palace?

It's Maine. You aren't really warm-blooded unless you are one of them....(Or rural Canadian).

Perfect for isolation living "normally" because it's last place stalkers are going to travel to...especially in winter. He might be the only real millionaire in that state.

That state is basically a pressure relief valve for people who can move out of the more expensive Northeastern states.

Now that he is a senior citizen, he won't have many more opportunities to summer house there.

That actually looks pretty nice and secluded and lots of room and privacy. I'd totally buy something like that if I could afford it. That couch has got to go though, maybe they'll take 4 mil. :p

Sadly, I'm a reptilian and hate even the modest cold where I currently am and I'll be damned if have to work that hard to remove numerous feet of snow every winter. Maine is a no-go for me even if I was given lottery money.

Also, I see clawfoot tub. At least according to some ATOT fashionitas, that is no bueno. Knock another 500k. /sarcasm.

Isolated too, looks like you'll need a boat to get off this island. If something bad happens, you're f*cked.
I wonder how the weather looks like during winter.

yeah, but that works against your victims, too. To where are they going to flee if they escape your basement?
