If I could be a cat, I would want to be a cat who is owned by someone like me. The reason is this...(click the link) ... the tabby in the back was in a locked cage in an abandoned garage at the point of death. The black and white one was put in a cardboard box and left in a supermarket parking lot. She had intestinal problems and I guess her previous owner did not want to pay for the operation. The little tabby showed up at my back door the day that the entire northern seaboard had the blackout last july.

now they are on a Sterns & Foster bed, with silk and egyption cotton sheets and a Bloomingdales quilt. They are pampered beyond belief. I have 10 kitties, 7 of which are indoor/outdoor models, and they are all treated this well...

A lot of the cats the 'find us' were outdoor cats. We tried keeping them in, and they made us as miserable as they were. So, now.. when I brew the morning coffee, I open the back door and 7 of them go out. They hang out in the back yard, where we have built junglegym type things for them. They come in for lunch, then again for dinner and finally have a 10:00PM curfew. they spend the night indoors and then go out again in the morning. Hence, indoor/outdoor models. Three NEVER go out.

Everytime I look at my kitty I wish I was her. She has it good. She gets to sleep all day and never has to do anything.

Just an observation.

Barefoot wives might mean more tax deductions, but that means more college tuition ...not necessarily a happier situation.
