and i'm starting to crave half the stuff they show.

LOL! When my GF's parents went to California on Vacation last year, they took a list of places from Triple-D's ... they drove from Colorado to San Francisco.. and stopped at about a dozen places on the list.

Whenever I go to a new city for whatever reason, if I have enough time, I try and hit some of the places from the show.

So far they've all been pretty damn good.

Last week I was in Dallas and went to Twisted Root Burger, which was on there and was rated the best burger in Texas, it was very good.

wife kid and myself watched 'cloudy with a chance of meatballs' last night. As the credits rolled, kid said 'awesome movie, two of us (almost same time), 'I'm hungry'.

Guy Fieri has the best job in all of TV, possibly the best job in the world. He just drives around and eats at dives. I usually look up places the show has hit if I'm going somewhere.

Alton Brown makes good shows too.

Everyone else, I can take or leave. Chopped is one of those shows that drives me nuts. Four cocky contestants, three arrogant judges, and an entirely stupid concept. "Ok folks. The basket has - pasta, tomatoes, garlic, and a leather boot!"

I'm strangely addicted to Unwrapped. I like Bobby Flay but hate his Throwdown. Most of the cooking show have gotten boring and repetitive - how many times can barefoot contessa, the lady with no hair, the nice young black couple, and so on, make the same darned things with their fancy kitchens? Paula Deen started out interesting, now she's creepy.

How did cake shows get to be popular? I turn them off. And if I ever see that creepy lady who judges them all, I may get violent on her - what a loony. The contest shows are such a waste of time.

When Food Network is good, it's very good. But there's a lot of bad stuff there.
