....that I do love my WRX dearly.

First cool morning of the fall here in Central FL. Nice crisp morning air, blue skies, Subie feeling froggy.

Getting into the turn lane for the entrance ramp to I-75 today, lucky me, I'm first in line. Light turns green, slowly let the clutch out get rolling, clutch in, grab 2nd, clutch out, right-foot down.

Head pinned back holding the line, grip grip grip, straighten out, check for merging traffic, looks good, clutch in, bang 3rd, clutch out, stomp the gas. Finally getting the little VF43 spooling at full blast, boxer burble is deafening off the concrete overpass on my left, quickly approaching redline.

Clutch in, massive ppfffschueewww from the bpv, check traffic, still all clear in front and back, grab 4th, clutch out, stomp it. Bwwwahhhhhh on to 100mph.......time to slow down.....lift throttle, clutch in, shift to 5th and coast down to 80mph ready for the 40 mile slog to work.

I've been shopping for something new for well over a year now and have yet to find something that I enjoy driving as much. It's loud and obnoxious and pretty short on amenities but I'll be damned if I don't love driving this car.

I feel the same way, and my car is basically stock apart from some suspension mods(which made a world of difference). I need more boost :)!

Word on that one. My VF40 sees peak boost every day. Now that South FL is finally cooling down, I'm seeing that power I've missed for so long due to the ridiculous heat & humidity.

Up next is a custom tune and sway bars that have been sitting in their box for far too long...

Yeah with the record number of 90+ days we had this summer, it's nice that it's finally starting to cool off. Enough with the swamp air, it's time to let 'er rip.

Hmm, don't you mean BOV? I thought you can't really hear the BPV.

Driving is 100% better in nice cool fall like weather. Best time of the year for top down convertible driving.

It's crazy. It's even more fun in the winter (that is, in places that have a real winter, not FL) :D Cold roads + faster spooling + more power + all seasons = tire spin in 2nd gear!

Cold weather is a mixed blessing. Yay more power, but you can't use it, because your tires don't work anymore. :(

WRX>M3. I did it and many had done it before me, and will do it long after. You get the visceral power, response and audio theatre, but you also get function, luxury and technology, too. Plus the outer sheet metal is much better. Subarus are made out of tin foil. An old lady sneezed on mine and a panel dented.

Let's see, our "cool Fall like weather" forecast for the weekend is 53°F highs and 42°F lows.

I'll stay indoors, thanks.

My studless Blizzaks with all wheel drive work just fine for creating roostertails out of snow. :D

My Subie isn't even turbo (yet :sneaky:) and it's easily one of my favorite day-to-day cars I've ever owned. There's definitely something about them that I really like. I think that, from the outside as a previous non-Subaru owner, I was surprised by how well they drive from a "driver's car" point of view. I'm hooked for now :D
