Something wrong with my mouse?

I have a Mx700 which is about a year old and recently its been acting up. When I want to click on something, sometimes it'll double click on the icon even though I only clicked the mouse once. Its frustrating as I often have multiple browers open and when I want to close one, the damn mouse will send the signal to windows to double click and so I close two windows instead of one.

Is it possible that some yahoo changed a mouse setting on you or a windwoes setting. There is a Windwoes setting that can be changed so that when you mouse over an object, it will be selected and a single click will do what a double-click used to. I think it's in the Usability settings for the differently abled. I prefer to set one of my otherwise unused mouse buttons to the double-click function rather than change the Win setting.

The setting isa not really that obvious. Easy to change or check - Control Panel, Folder Options, and the bottom set of checkboxes controls that.

I have always had my mouse set for single click ever since Win95. Why click twice when once will do?

Logitech kicks so much ass!

I just phoned them and they agreed to replace my mx700 with a mx1000 without having to send in my mx700!
