Something wrong with my LCD monitor

I have a Samsung 710n. When ever it has been turned off for a while and I turn it on again, the screen shows up for half a second and then it goes all black. I have to turn it off then on, then quickly press auto adjust for it to work. Is it broken?

I'd check the cable between the pc and the monitor make sure all the pins are straight and not broken on both ends and that they attached snugly. Otherwise sounds like a monitor prob.

Call 1800Samsung. My dads monitor just died this week. He moved it to another desk and it was really dark. The backlight died. Called samsung and got a replacement monitor in 3 days. Unplug the monitor from the wall and the computer. Then after 2 minutes plug the power back in. Push the power button. Does the self test come up? If not it needs serviced. You have a 3 year warrenty. I have the same monitor as you and dont have issues.

i'm using the same monitor but i had never exprience any problems with it yet

just call samsung and ask for technical support
