Hey guys, I hope some of you have have had or have the Creative FPS2000 speakers.
I have had this set since I built my rig which was a loong time ago (~2.5 years) and it is connected to the original Sound Blaster Live! to the DIN. Thus everything should be digital. I have checked digital output only as well in the liveware 3.0.

Now my problem is when I have the volume (using the "remote" knob for volume control), starting at 60%, I hear hiss when there I am playing nothing through the speakers. And of course the hiss increases with the volume. This has always been the case since I bought em.
Uhh... I thought one of the advantages to using digital output to speakers would be elimated hiss...
Any ideas or comments about this and how to get rid of the hiss?

I have the FPS2000's right now, and they do just about the same thing as yours. I don't really find this to be a problem however, because even in my wild-crazy dorm hall, playing anything on these speakers when they are turned up past 60% is too loud for anyone (including me) to handle if the software levels are set right.
