Just want everyone to think about this.....

....bickering on this forum used to be the exception.....now it's the norm.

I'm not naive to believe that when you get this many people to hang out together, everyone will get along with everyone else, but the differences have started to really show.

I'll be thre first to admit, I have gotten on my high horse to try and jump in to resolve the fighting, only to fuel the fire it seems. I wish I could simply say I won't fight on this forum anymore, but I know I would be lieing. People say things that piss me off, and if I feel strongly enough (like now), I am going to say something.

I can only try and control what I say on this board and be more sensitive to how others might respond to what I say. I can't control what others say, just as they can't control what I say. In other words, look to yourselves if you want the fighting to stop on this forum.

Nuff said.

Unline our "fearless leader" I don't mind saying I inhaled.
I just wonder sometimes...

If there were ever a substance that could contribute to the harmony that the delusional envision... that would be it!

"Gimme a 50 pound bag of Oreo cookies, and Garlic dip"... :D

You know, sometimes I feel like everybody is delusional with the only exception being me and people that agree with me.

While we're still up and about, I have a dumb question that's OT.

I've been installing a customers copy of NT 4 Workstation this evening on their new Scsi System.
I've come to the point to install the Service Packs.
Every time I install one, I get coruption, and it won't boot without an error.

Is there a certain way to install a SP?
Do I need to get them all, and do them in order? (even that caused an error) :(

I D/Ld them all, put them in their own folder on a differant partition, expanded the SP2, clicked upgrade.
NOT got an error on reboot. :(

I tried to tell them that W2K Pro would probably be better, but they weren't sure if W2K would support what they do.
Some kind of Image software, and an App that runs some huge microfilm type printer.

Somebody Help me! <-------Sung to the tune Somebody Help Me. ;)

Their Install disk allready has SP1 on it.

hmmmm.... installing direct from CD, or did you load the NT files onto the HDD?
Try that -

I'll try that next, I'm repairing it now, we'll see what happens.

I've never really messed with NT, untill W2K, and I started running dualies with Rc5.
Then only on a couple of machines, I'm into the Open Source Movement. Linux and FreeBSD. ;)

HMMM...... Do you think I should move all the i386 files over to the HDD, and then expand all the SPs inside it?
