I think this is the PSU from Antec's new PlusBrew 1200, which is a taller version of the 1080AMG that has a 12-cup Mr. Coffee in the lower front. 😀

The item in the photo, FYI, is a NeoPower. I asked AntecCSR about modular PSUs a while back and got a tip that there was something in the works. Well... there ya go. 😎

And I'll take one of the alcohol coolers over the caffiene machine any day! :beer:

Well, it isn't cheap (US$120) but it's now in stock at Newegg. They only have one photo of it so far, though. I want to see the rest of it. 😛
 
Hmmm i wonder how it competes with the OCZ powerstream PSU's. The OCZ's are supposed to be incredible and dead quiet (23dba).

I'd like to know more about these dual 12V rails. As I understand it, one rail is dedicated to the 4-pin connector that most new motherboards have in addition to the 20-pin connector. My A7N8X Deluxe doesn't have that connector, does that mean I can't use that additional 12V rail?
 
crazy expensive...in a matter of weeks this will be in newegg's mega sale or whatever...I look forward to the $1 price drop

Yeah... if I'm going to spend over $100 on a power supply it's going to be a PC Power and Cooling one with voltage rails guaranteed to be within 1% of spec.

Nonetheless I'm still curious about the dual 12V rails. Maybe AntecCSR can provide some info or at least point me in the right direction? It says nothing about it on the Antec site, I just read about it in a review of it.
 
Don't know much about this PSU, but have a quick question. I am building a new system, currently is looking to be a dual opteron system. In which case I have 2-3 options. Spend crazy amounts of money on a PC Power and Cooling PSU, which I don't really think I need anything that awesome, this will just be my main rig, not a server or anythign that needs to have 100% uptime.

Or Spend still a decent chunk of cash on the antec True 500watt EPS PSU. Not sure what the EPS does exatly, but th emotherboard I am considering supports it, and I here its good for dual CPU's.

Or spend just a tad more and get this thing, not sure how it compares to the EPS PSU's again.

Edit:after starting to read the SPCR review, I saw that it actually uses a 24pin connector, the same as the EPS power supplies. Not sure what that means though, is it as good or better then the EPS standard? Well back to the review.
 
Nothing to special, it will basically be my main rig, used for internet, gaming, encoding general multitasking and whatever else strikes me as cool.

With dual Opterons I'd spend the money on a PC Power and Cooling unit. You'll already be spending thousands, so what's a couple hundred more to make certain you have reliable power. You'll be able to take that power supply with you when you upgrade too.
