Something needs to be done about this

I just noticed a thread in the FS/FT forum where a new member did not post a price for a sale item. A couple people including myself politely told the person they needed to post a price and to read the rules. That is the first problem, everyone posts before they read the rules. The second problem is that 10 million people need to make a big deal out of the whole thing by posting in the before the lock and count down to the lock and stuff like that. I have a feeling these sort of things may cause people to get scared and leave the forums. It is clearly stated in the forum rules not to post stuff like that, plus another reason they do it is cause they know they can up thier post count and still get away with it. That is not right since these people are the same or worse then the person that did not post the price. Since the offenders are usually people who have been here for a while and know better. I think warnings need to be given and if it happens again the people need to take a vacation. Any Opinions

Can I get a hallelujah! I read through the FS/FT forum every now and then to see if there is anything that I cannot live without and seeing those replies just frustrates the heck out of me. Don't know why, it just does.

Maybe just a little extra added to the "No in b4 the lock posts" rule in the FAQ or something. I can't see The Mods wasting too much time controlling this....it is annoying like you say, but not that serious IMO. These forums are kinda self-regulating, and I bet the mods like that...makes the job a little easier.

I see your point though, maybe a few examples should be made so the word spreads a bit.

I noticed you have done this yourself though i.e Radeon engr. sample thread...you were like the 4th person to remind the trader to post a price.

OT is for screwing around....FS/FT should be just for the serious people who want to sell or buy stuff. Some friendly chatter about peoples' products is OK but the above mentioned items should be regulated......

HansHurt, after I started to reply to that message I started talking on ICQ, I should have been in first, but unfortunately due to the intteruption i was not, but I only told him to post a price, because i did not want to see the thread craps or worse have his thread locked, because I think that scares away new users. I do appaluad the MODs, because I just found out the in before the l0ck is now a banned phrase, but this is still not enough, a few examples need to be made to get the point across.
