I was trying to book a hotel in dowtown Toronto for this weekend and everything seems booked solid.

Something special going on?
I originally thought it was the film fest, but that ended yesterday right?

Try these hotels:

Fairmont Royal York - 1-800-441-1414
Renaissance Hotel at Skydome - 1-800-468-3571 or 416-341-7100
Holiday Inn on King - 416-599-4000
Toronto Hilton (Downtown) - 1-800-445-8667
Toronto Sheraton (Downtown) - 1-800-325-3535

One of those MUST have a vacancy. :)

I also think its because of the Film festival. Nothing else is going on that I know of. (unless your trying to book weeks ahead, then you should find something).

andylawcc,

I live in Kitchener, which is about a one hour drive from Toronto.

However, I do commute to downtown Toronto every day for work so I know it pretty well.

It has quite a large Chinese population, yes, and there is even a fairly large Chinatown.
