Something fell off my 9800 pro -- See pic

Not sure of the actual name of this piece, but it fell off when I was moving this card to a different case. It goes directly below the identical still attached coiled piece as you can see in the pic.
I don't know what he purpose of this coil is and I don't want to try powering up the card without knowing what might happen if it is not attached. Can I simpy try and glue it back on? It doesn't appear it was actually soldered, just glued.

I'm open to any suggestions right now as I'd really hate to have to junk this card.

I think you have to solder it. Gluing it on won't give you any electrical contact between the coil and the card, so it's like it isn't there.

There must be some electrical connection between the ends of the inductor and the PCB.

Inductors have a fair amount of resistance as is, so even if that contact method isn't perfect you should be okay, but you need electrical contact.

After inspecting it much more closely, I believe you guys are correct in that it need to be soldered to get the proper contact.

Not something I feel comfortable trying myself, but I think I know of a couple of people who can probably help me out.
