Well I just got ZoneAlarm pro today because in the past month, my friends have been getting very strange emails from me I know that I didnt write along with picture attachments and everything that matched the email message. I ran a few different Antiviruses and found nothing, so I decided to install ZA.

Well eariler today I kept getting attempts to access my computer from ATT@home which is what I use, so I figure that it was normal, though I was getting about 15+ every hour.B ut just now, I got one from Rogers@home on port 21 (FTP), should I worry? What should I do? I've run Norton Utilities scan and Adware v5.62

Thanks

Call the police! Email the President of your cable provider! Call tech support! This is really serious!

Picked up this link from another post a few days ago. It scans for open trojan programs. ZoneAlarm should be blocking any programs you don't authorize, but give it a shot.

I get 500+ scans per day, from all kinds of addresses to all possible ports, those are automatic scans and if your ZA is configured correctly they wont even see your ports, so there's nothing to worry about.

That's a bit on the high side. What ports are being scanned, and is it the same ip address?

don't stress out about it too much... as long as the ports are closed there is not too much they can do...

i get flooded with port scans and people trying to connect on NetBus and BO ports all the time... luckily the router prevents these from going through.

hell, just today, I got someone who tried to access my FreeBSD server by using the only port I have open... fortunately, I have an access list that allows only certain systems to connect, so his connection was quickly dropped and I have his IP address logged...

No not hosting any FTP's, yes they are the same IP going through all the ports, I know I'm protected now, but I'd like to know who was doing all those emails czu they were kinda personal and pissed me off alot!
