Someone thinks my email address is theirs...

I'm 99% sure. I started getting emails awhile back from people like I was in their college course as part of a group or something, I emailed them and set them straight. But now every so often I get emails from websites like I have registered and they are sending my username/password. Nothing bad just random online (free) games and stuff like that. At first I thought it was spam, but now I'm thinking someone out there is confused. I just got one from Myspace.

Seriously, how many registrations does it take before you realize you are putting in the wrong email address.

From the myspace emails I gather the following about said person:

Male
17 years old
PORTLAND, Oregon
United States

I'm thinking put a message on Myspace in giant letters in hopes that the guy will see it. Any other ideas?

I almost posted something like this last week. I have at least one person who currently thinks my email address is hers, and two that I had to set straight. The first one was a doctor from la jolla, california whose colleages were emailing him about some conference, and the second one was a female lawyer or law student from new york who some guy was trying to contact because he missed her and wanted to wish her a happy birthday.

Currently this lady from texas has been making freedom of information act requests to my email address about some very boring stuff like groundwater science. The weird thing is all of these people have the same first initial and last name as I do, and I haven't ever met anyone I wasn't related to that didn't have the same (spelling at least) last name, but I don't know any of them.

Great. Now another person has given their email address (mine) to a relative of theirs, who is forwarding me airline ticket information and craigslist postings. I wish gmail never got so big.

I once got an email announcing the birth of a baby, complete with pics. I replied saying I had no idea who they were but I wished them all the best.
