Someone shot my dog today!

About 8pm tonight I brought my dog in from outside. Shes a 2 year old female beagle named Fancy. I noticed her right ear was bleeding a little. After examining the wound I felt something hard and round inside. I told my wife and she started feeling around and eventually pushed out a BB! Needless to say, I was suprised and angry. I called the state police and they came and took a report. It must have happened between 10:30am and just before 8pm because that was when she was outside, behind the house on a 20ft lead. We cleaned up the wound, which luckily turned out to be quite minor and she seems ok.
Needless to say I'm friggin' pissed. If I ever find out who did this, I'm gonna go Jack Bauer on their sorry ass.
I also sent the pics and description to the local newspaper to put the heat on...

The story made it into the paper. So now the locals know I'm out to find who did it - the heat is ON!

play cool and scan the neighborhood and make small talk with the neighborhood kids and try to get some info.
 
my dog I had (put down last year 🙁 ), had been shot with a bb once. it was in her eye
her eye was fine, thankfully

The sad thing is that she was walking with her tail between her legs before I noticed. Poor thing is traumatized. I'll let the perp live as long as I can shoot them in the ear with their BB gun....
 
Yes, I've been kicking around the idea of getting a M4 carbine.... might just have to go thru with it.

First of all, its a her.

And I live out in the boonies. My neighbor has like 4 dogs. And who cares if she barks? Shes' a DOG thats' what they do!

Not to imply that this would justify what somone did to your dog, but this was the first thing I thought when I read he was outside from 10:30am until 8:00pm.
I own a dog myself & if anyone shot him with a bb gun I'd be just as pissed as you are, but I also never leave him outside barking for more then 10 minutes or so.

It's cruel to tie them up and ignore them. Dogs need love too.
 
I put her out because shes' an outside type dog - she'll tear the house to shreds if left unattended. I also wasn't there a good portion of the day. And I don't ignore her. We bring her in every night and when the weather is bad. She has nice dog house, a big water dish and lots of toys to play with. I take her for a walk twice a day and even for rides in the car every now and then, etc., etc., .....
