i just bought a Radeon 8500 which workd really good for about 2 days and then i started getting all these wierd green dots all over my screen, long story short, im getting ready to RMA the card and i think im going to get a Gforce 3 Ti 500. I want someone to give me a good reason to stay with ATI in spite of there bad support and drivers and numerous other problems. Are there as many problems with the Gforce 3 as with the 8500?

I own a geforce 3 ti 200 and it works flawless ...I also like the unified drivers makes updating driver real simple. The compatibility between OS platforms is excellent also.

My Radeon 8500 works perfectly. So does my ECS K7S5A. As do my IBM hard drives. And my 16 fan rig doesn't sound like a hovercraft. My only complaint is that I can't get much volume out of my TBSC on my cheap 2.1 speakers.

So what does all this mean? Probably nothing more than some of us are luckier at getting functional hardware than others.

If you got the cash, go for the Ti500! No probs with any of my nVidia products. (TNT2 Ultra, Geforce2MX, Geforce 2 Ultra)
