Can someone please help me out here, i am begging for help... I have tried alot of places for help and not getting 1 reply... anyhow. i got the latest geforce 2 detonator drivers (11.1, ive also tried old ones and ones off my cd) and whenever i try to run a game in open gl (Unreal tournament, oni, or tribes 2) it will refuse to go full screen... if i use 800x600 i can see my start button bar in windows and if i use 1028x res. my screen is only 35% the size of my moniter ( i have a screenshot if anyone needs it)http://home.nc.rr.com/glorylin/screwed.jpg ... something is wrong here... and no one will help so im trying here... im on win98se, herc prophet 2 mx, direct x8.0a the rest probobly isnt very important... Oh yeah, quake 3 works fine in open gl.... i forgot how quake 2 or halflife ran... but i just know the last 3 games ive tried have been like that.. i use UT with d3d now so i dont get that problem... that is why i think opengl is the problem.
Actually ive tried open gl in unreal tournament and it was the same as it is in Oni or Tribes 2, That was back when i was using Direct X 7.0, and ive tried the games with other drivers.... same thing, ive ran some older games like tribes 1 and UT back on my v3 on my old pc and they worked in open gl since it was glide.... anyways i dont know whats up with this... have you looked at the image uploaded? thats what it looks like in 1024x res. in 800x600 its full screen except the bottom has the start bar..... oh yes in response to that screen... thats how it looks while in the game... if i exit the game the screen in windows like goes back to full screen 1024x res.
fixing this will decide the fate of me buying tribes 2.... currently i got a backup version for testing purposes. and if this is not fixable it will ruin my plans of buying it... someone please help me fix this for all/most open gl games
forgot to mention i use default values in open gl properties with the exception of vsync off and the alwayse use 32 bit
