Turn auto ripping on, with CD rom drives. It shouldn't take any time at all to rip them to your comp. Once that's done throw it to the iPod and take a nap.

lets say it takes 20 min to rip a cd and put it into iPod.

20min x 170cd = 3400 mins / 60 min = 56 hrs 40 mins..

if we say $10 per hour.. that is already way over $300

so its upto you.

Is that with the mp3 conversion as well? Never used itunes before. It usually takes me 20-25 minutes to rip a CD and convert it to mp3 format using EAC and LAME. Wouldn't be worth it to me but for someone who has free time on their hands...
