went to the doctor and she had no clue...just gave me a splint and said to take advil...not even any real painkillers...

Maybe your arm was playing w/ MrDingleDangle while you were asleep! :D Sorry, I couldn't help it. Seriously, maybe it's the beginnings of CTS? Many people fail to mention the warning signs to their doctor till the damage is already done. Just bouncing ideas, hope this helps.

That sucks, my bro just got his cast taken off after breaking his Thumb rollerskating, the sucker didn't heal right and he has some sort of air-cast for now, exercises to do, and if it still doesn't go back to normal in 3 weeks, another cast for him... I hate PAIN. I would deffinetly talk fast in a torture chamber or something, eh...

yeah the doctor kept bringing up that maybe its cause i type so much, but its my left hand thumb, i am right handed and hit the spacebar witht that finger...use the mouse wiht my right hand...so it is the only finger i dont use while typing...

she still seemed to just assume that was the problem i think

and no they arent spider bites...no bite marks (i have had lotsa spider bites)

good golly. why would you listen to a doctor. they go to school for 8 years and noone can confirm what they've learned. trust yourself if youy think you're smart enough. a simple sprain will heal itself in 2 weeks. how do you think humans did for 10,000 years before doctors? they overcame or died. being an offspring of the overcame, i'd take a chance on self-healing

letsremember that they had a life expectancy of probably 20 or so years 10,000 years ago

<< There goes your sex life. >>

Ouch :p

<< spider bite >>

I've had one of those on my hand and it wasn't pretty but it doesn't sound like he has one.. the doctor would've known anyway..

Edit: Forgot to say that's it's my guess that you hit the wall pretty hard with your hand while sleeping (especially if you were dreaming you were Tyler Durden :D).. has happened to me before and my wall is solid concrete :(
