I'm venting...

So I go to Six Flags Great America near my hometown today to spend some time with some of my old buddies and I decide to drive. We park in the standard parking lot and have a grand ol' time trying to hit up every ride we could. Let me tell you, riding a rollercoaster while it's raining hurts. The rain hits you like pins and needles, painful, yet strangely enjoyable. But enough about that...

Eventually we make it back to the car at around 9:20 PM during a torrential downpour and rush to get home. Later tonight we went to Applebee's to get some grub. It's not until 1:00AM when I stare at my hood and realize that there's 2 huge scratches that are perpendicular to each other. One of them is vertical and about 1.5 feet long down the passenger side. It's deep enough that it killed the clearcoat and destroyed the color coat. The other scratch is moving horizontal and is about 2 feet long, but not deep at all. I believe I can simply buff it out if I wanted to.

The hood already has some small pits and a 1 centimeter long gouge from a salt truck so I don't really care all too much. I can always use touchup on the deep scratch and hope that it didn't go through the primer and onto the bare metal. I just feel so violated. I don't remember seeing the scratch prior to going to Great America, so I can only assume that it happened there while I couldn't defend it. Remind me never to park at Great America ever again.

BTW, I drive a Black Altima, so you can really see the scratch. Poor Altima :(

I had a direct view of my car while we sat and ate at Applebees. I know it's just an assumption, but I make my assumption based on the amount of asshole kids and adults I saw at the theme park today. I was amazed at how different the clientel changed over the years.

The rides are still good, but damn, teach those kids some manners.

Yeah tell me about it. I wish they didn't let New Yorkers into Great Adventure. No offense to the good people of New York, but the bad ones ruin it for everyone. There's always tons of people tailgating in the parking lot. Why do you have to be drunk to enjoy amusement park rides?

Ugh, that sucks, I'm sorry to hear it... Out of curiosity, is the car riced at all?

Judging from his SN and the fact that his car got singled out from an amusement park parking lot, id say yeah

Lol, I hadn't noticed his handle, my mistake. I'm no fan of rice, but he certainly didn't deserve to have his car keyed for it. Makes you want to develop a chemical weapon harmful only to those with low IQs :p

Haha, no, my car isn't riced, it's all stock. I'm not a big fan of the rice either, I'd rather spend my money trying to make it go fast rather than make it look fast.

at work i had someone run into my rear bumper last night... again. last time insurance paid ~1200$ to repair it. this time someone hit the other corner. it looks as if they scraped up against the bumper but i'm not sure how bad the paint damage is... i had lots of zaino and the part that i ran my finger across looks really scratched but the paint is still there... but they broke my rear lip spoiler... ~400$ for that and 150-200$ for paint. i'm debating whether to get insurance involved.

i swear a good majority of the people at who come into my work are arseholes. this is the 2nd time it's happened in 6 months. unfortunately no one go the license plate this time... only 15 or so people came in and i think it was a white beretta that did it... 4 flat tires.

i know how it feels, sucks eh?
