Someone just shot up a Catholic mass full of school children in Minneapolis

Then killed himself. Sprayed bullets into the pews as children were attending mass after returning to school this week from summer break. Initial reports of at least 20 shot.

We need gun control in this country now. Ban semiautomatic rifles. No bump stocks, no tracer rounds, other bullshit accessories designed to increase killing efficiency. Universal registration system. Universal background checks.

We're failing our society if we don't.

Sandy Hook didn't change hearts and minds, why would this?

This is part and parcel of living in America. Will never change unless you move to a different country.

Does anybody ever wonder how a young man could get so fucked up he feels a need to kill as many children as he can before killing himself. What was he saying that went unheard for so long he came to that end? Nobody heard his agony because to hear would be to look in the mirror. You and your deafness killed all those kids. It happened by gun but you pulled the trigger because you won't lose your position as winners in a competitive capitalist system by changing it.

Evidently the shooter was a racist, Nazi right-winger?
(Yeah, there are right-wing Nazi trans people, it's a whole thing, and it's fucking weird)

After reading about the nazi furries being thrown out of the furry convention, the idea that sexuality or gender should lead to a particular political ideology or party was forever broken. Except pedophiles, pedophiles love them some Republican Party fascism.

It's just the whole "Nazis also hate queer people" thing that's a bit confusing, the right-wing part less so, lots of wealthy gays out there that hate paying taxes.

What do you mean, "People like me"?

A man who has been gainfully employed since I was 14 years old?
A man who has paid for everything I have and have had myself without a handout?
A man who has been faithfully with the same woman for 35 years?
A man who has raised a happy family?
A man who is a law abiding citizen, proud of his country?
That kind of people?

Oh, by the way, I left some of my guns out after I cleaned them after a day at the range. Guess what? One week later and they were still where I left them and they had not escaped and committed any murders!

Yeah, I figured that's why you were here, chickenshit. No commentary on all the shootings performed by people just like you though, huh?

A trans person can be all of those things. The difference of course is that a cisgender man like yourself is much more likely to commit a mass shooting than a transgender man or woman. Bonus points if you're white.

A coworker of mine talked about making sure his wife knew where the guns were to protect the home (he lives out in the woods, relatively speaking).

I was *thiiiis* close to saying that, statistically speaking, one of his young children were more likely to harm themselves or a family member than for the home to be invdaded

People's minds can change. They're not NPCs in a video game. Only if you're a doomer or nihilist do you believe that people's thoughts are fixed.

As the menswear guy said yesterday, the people that brag about all their guns just have a shopping addiction (that just happens to be guns instead of something else).

You need help.
Just in this thread it seems like you’ve got some anger issues, a victim hood complex and you’re careless with your weapons.

Not a good look.

Here’s some safety tips for you.

Your weapons should never be left out unattended.

When you are done at the range or cleaning they should be stored unloaded, chamber cleared, preferably in a good gun safe or at least with a trigger lock.

If you’ve been drinking, are sick, arguing, mad, depressed, taking prescription narcotics, etc the guns should stay locked up or be put away until you are well again.

You need to treat them with the respect due lethal instruments.

Anger issues?
Did I say I left them out?
So not only are you an irresponsible gun owner who leaves their guns out, you have such a poor memory you can't remember what you said less than 24 hours ago, and you can't figure out how to scroll up a few posts to read what you said. You probably shouldn't be trusted with guns at this point.

God I hate this country. This bullshit is as American as apple pie and medical bankruptcy.
Have you considered going elsewhere? Just off the top of my head I can think of several country's with strong social welfare programs. A couple of them don't allow citizens to own firearms.
I bring it up because I moved out of a state that wasn't working for me and so far I'm pretty happy with the result. I understand that moving to another country is far more involved, but if you truly hate the US maybe it's worth looking into?
After I moved I realized it was something I could have done twenty years prior and landed in the same place.

Or voters could stop trying to spread the failed Republican style of government to our entire nation. Keep it confined to your shitty welfare states.
