There should be a filter you can set to direct all emails from those accounts as spam.

I have my firstinitiallastname@gmail.com

I regularly get emails for someone with the same first initial and lastname. He propbably has the same email but with a "." between the two, and is unable to remember that. I have to email his associates regularly to let them know they haven't reached the right person. Just got a linkedin reminder the other day that was meant for him.

I thought gmail treated the dot as non existent?

edit:just tested it and yes, it does that. I even get this after the non dotted email addr (Yes, this is you)Learn More

Dear, Nancy, Kathy, Jen and Craig,

I don't know you but I am receiving at my Google account the emails you ladies exchange with Craig. Sorry, Nancy, that you and Craig broke up and you are feeling insecure. I'm sure, Jen, that Craig appreciated the hugs you sent. Kathy, you've got your own problems but at least you've got the new dog. Craig, take it easy with the sleeping pills.

Until Craig takes steps to fix this, I will be looking forward to learning more about all of you and your relationships through your emails.

That might get some action.

I was just assuming he has the . email. For all I know he has his middle initial in. It's either something similar or one digit off or he is just giving people an email address he doesnt actually have.

I had something similar going on a couple of months ago where some old guy thought my email address was his address and he set up Match and Plenty of Fish accounts. I got all his registration info in my email, and I left messages for him to change the email address on the accounts.

I gave him a couple of weeks to fix the problem, then I went in to his dating accounts and turned off his profiles from public view. I also reset the email adresses to empty cyberspace.

No more problems after that.

See update in the original post (message #1).

Not shens... but messing with his Facebook account does not sound right... I guess I'll wait for some more emails and see.

Just an observation, but that image of the email is from hotmail.

No?

My mistake. The links in the email for Windows live caught my eye and threw me off. They were sent from hotmail.
