Same deal with mine... And they havn't taken the hundreds of dollars of computer equipment and textbooks laying around in there. Just the gas.

Make a sparking cap.

This is like a child proof cap on med bottles. How it works is simple. Always push both bottons on each side of the cap. This will retract the flints and prevent them from engaging the outer ring. YOU do not want this to happen because if it does it will touch off fumes in filler neck. This will scare theif for sure. Your car will not blow up, that only happens in the movies.

i don't think people try to get into your car so they can steal your gas. at $3 a gallon it is expensive... but it's not $30/gallon. look into other reasons why you're losing gas.

Oh and the outside door that is released from inside is easily overcome with a leverage amplifier.

And then after I filled up this morning... I'm now down to a half tank again... After 30 miles. Where in the fsck is it going?!

your o2 sensors are probably bad

Yep...decent size flat head and it's open no problem. It's just a little clip holding it closed...

O2 sensors go gradually, not all of a sudden. You don't go from 20MPG to 7MPG like that...

there would be evidence however. I'm sure the paint would be scratched up.

Can anybody say how much an 02 sensor can really contribute to bad MPG???

Obviously I think that 20 down to 7 something's wrong in Denmark but curious as to how many MPG a bad 02 sensor could actually contribute to............???????????????

gasoline doesnt evaporate VERY quickly and it leaves stains on aggregated concrete finish.

Well if you want to do this clean use a suction cup dent puller. They will probably rip the door off if you're careless though. LOL, that's actually hilarious!

My Mustang GT was getting about 8 - 9MPG around town, and about 10MPG on the highway...

When I put on new headers and a SS X - Pipe, I changed both of mine out.

I now get 25MPG on the highway, and about 18-19MPG around town.

So, they can have a big effect, but they don't go all of a sudden. They start to switch slower and slower as they age, and most last about 60-75K before it's a good idea to change them.

Insane,

Thanks!! Wow, that's a lot of MPG. I'd assume your pipes had somethin' to do with that too, but that's still quite a hop!!! Good 4U!

I might do the swap just to say I could measure & tell for sure myself.
