I attend a university and I live at the dorms. Someone over the network is crashing my system. I have a bunch of movies shared for everyone at the dorm to access and watch. Apparentally someone doesnt like it and keeps attacking my system. Let me describe to you what happens!

My CPU usage is at 100%. I have a program callled DU Meter which shows my dl and upload speeds. This is very strange because it shows up as if I was constantly dl something at 51 KB/s. The thing is that, I cant dl anything at that speed because we are capped at 15KB/s down and up, so I am positive it is someone over the network. The effect is my system runs slow as hell, and it is inaccessable over the network for that reason.

How can I find out who is doing this? I need help badly!

Any replies are greatly appriceated!

I'd install ZoneAlarm and start blocking some ports!

Are you running Kazaa 24/7 or anything? How about something like SETI?
