Someone I know got bitten on the gnads by a spider, and he can't have children.

He used an outhouse in the woods, got bit, had a severe reaction, and now the doc says he is infertile.

now apparently it was a small bite that ended up getting really inflamed. I think it permanently damaged his machinery. it is really quite sad. i wasn't aware such dangers existed.

If that's the case, I need to go find me a spider. It would be painful, but worth it if I couldn't have kids. 🙂

 
If he was using an outhouse he probably lives in West Virginia, and thus should not reproduce anyway. He may now sleep with his sister without fear of impregnating her!
 
It was probably that allergic reaction that causes certain peoples skin and flesh (in the area around the bite) to decay after a spider bite.
 
Many spider venoms attack the nervous system. All venoms basically liquify insect gizards and stuff. I'm not surprised he's infirtle. But, with a spider bite that strong, I'm also surprised that he's still walking or alive.
 
I was bitten by a black widow in a garage I was doing some work in back in May. Suffered multiple outbreaks of cellulitis. The area where the spider bite was is a dark blueish purple. It gave me a staph infection.
Nurse at Alta Bates in Berkely said "we don't belive in spider bites" and then went on to insinuate I was a meth user.
I about went ballisitic on her. Told her I didn't care what she believed, I crushed the damn thing.
Sucks for your friend though.
