I need to find an online retailer in Canada that sells SONY MDR-7506 headphones. Someone please help me out, i can't find any. Found Vistek, but they don't have warranty on pro audio. And before anyone asks (actually i think someone already did), thanks, but i'm not looking for any recommendations - i need this exact model.

i cant help unless someone posts the sony headphones with the two chicks.

(okay so i cant help anyhow but that pic would be great motivation to look around 😀)

I don't know if you ever visit the dv.com forums, but they are currently down. They are supposed to be back up on Monday. If they ever get back up, trying go to the audio or camera forum and ask for a canadian retailer that seels those headphones. Many people on that board are canadian and could help you out. If you don't specifically ask for Canadain, of course they will give you B and H, which is in New York. I am assuming you will be using those for audio monitoring, such as from a camera or mixer, not for general listening.

Anyone else? I'm desparate!

N8, that guy doesn't mention if he has refunds/warranty. Emailed him but nothing so far.

Ok i give up. Ordered from the US. Guess i'm stuck paying the 15% tax on the border. Goddamn SONY. The trouble i have to go through to get a stupid pair of headphones replaced.

Are these good? Hm well the sound quality is excellent. But it's SONY so they are very likely to die on you. Personally, i wouldn't buy anything SONY anymore. But these do sound damn good.

<< hhhhhhhmmmmmm, i need a good set of headphones, are these good? >>

These are excellent headphones! I personally have these and they will work fine! The thing though, is that they are "studio monitor" headphones, and they will not lie to you, so be sure that you have a quality input

If you wish to compare these to the grado sr60, i'll say it has better bass and surround, but the grado may be better suited for music

The 7506 is sonys "replacement" for the mdr-v6, they are the same exact headphone execpt the 7506 has a gold plated audio jack and a $30 higher pricetag

purchase the mdr-v6 from a reliable retailer here

Crap i just realised that i can't find that gold-plated jack that plugs into the receiver's headphone input. Dammit i had 2, where'd they go?

okay. The Sony MDR-7506s are good headphones. I sold off a pair a few months ago because I bought something better, but the 7506s are decent. These phones are the EXACT SAME THING as the MDR-V6s (20-30$ cheaper), but do not confuse the V6 with the V600. The V6/7506 have great bass extension, possibly the best in any headphone under 200 dollars. They're closed so they do block out SOME noise and nobody will hear you playing. They are very sensitive, so you can play them from crappy sources and still get somewhat decent sound. You might not like their sound at first since they are quite a bit brighter than most headphones on the market. In other words, you won't want to listen to female vocals for a couple weeks.
