someone help me decide on a dinner

so, I know that I want baked apples for dessert, but I can't decide on what to make for dinner itself. I need suggestions! I've got a good chunk of time tomorrow to devote to grocery shopping and cooking.

my only big hangups are:

1) no steak (not my choice)
2) no pork (bacon is OK)
3) no fish

the leading contender in my head right now is pasta, meatballs, and homemade sauce, but I'm open to suggestions

if bacon is ok, then i choose bacon

No pork? That eliminates the best protein you could have with baked apples. You could have stuffed center cut chops using apples, chopped smoked almonds, maybe a tad soy, mushroom of choice, and some fresh grated parm or any cheese you want (just enough to bind) then smoked over 1:1 cherry/apple wood or shoved in the oven. We've done it where we cut pork loin in thin strips, pound it out, use the same filling and roll it up then either bread and fry or smoke. Basic easy stuff.

homemade pizza

we bought a pizza stone thing from bed, bath & beyond(tm) that you put your dough + sauce + cheese + toppings on and then put it in the oven. we bought the ingredients at whole foods.

so much yum.

You realize that you're supposed to preheat the stone in the oven BEFORE you put the pizza on it, right?

oh right. i forgot about that part. now i remember we made the pizza on the special wooden surface with the big handle so you could slide the pizza onto the preheated stone thing.

This doesn't compute😕

I myself am a big steak fan, but my boyfriend doesn't really like it (but he has no issues with any other form of beef... eg, burgers, meatballs, beef stew, etc)

I'm not really a fan of pork (acceptable in bacon or when mixed with beef/veal, but pork chops are out)

we're both a fan of fish, but like different types (I like salmon/trout and actively dislike stuff like tilapia and bass, while my boyfriend prefers the white fish)
