CLEARFIELD, Pa. - A 100-pound female college student is the first to meet the Denny's Beer Barrel Pub challenge: down the restaurant's six-pound hamburger ? and five pounds of fixins' ? within three hours.

Full Story

Denny's Challenge

I just don't understand how the hell small people can eat so much more than bigger people. I remember that a small Japanese guy won the World Championship in hotdog eating, and read about this little Asian woman outeating football players in FHM. You would think that bigger people have bigger stomachs = more food capacity, but apparently that's not true.

Edit - Pics found
Pic of Kate Stelnick with HUGE burger
Takeru Kobayashi, the little Japanese hotdog eating machine
Sonya Thomas, the little Asian woman
As you can see, neither of them are overweight. In fact, Sonya looks to be too skinny...

I can tell you that the Asian woman that was interviewed by FHM for outeating football players looked quite good and fit for her age (30ish?). But you'll have to search FHM for it.

For her trouble, Stelnick got a special certificate, a T-shirt and other prizes and ? as advertised ? Leigey picked up the $23.95 tab for the burger.
thats it?!? for accomplishing that feat, she should be able to walk in there anytime she wants and eat for free! is he going to buy her a costco bulk pack of toilet paper also for when she sh*ts out that buick she ingested?

Did they say she had to keep it down? I can't imagine her not going somewhere right after and refunding it.

I just can't see how human stomach can handle the volume of 11 lbs of food.

Did she need to goto the hospital?

I found a pic of her and the burger on Google. Do a search for her name and then click the cached page of the first link that comes up.

I'm amazed that the burger only costs $23.95. He has to be losing money on those. Imagine a group of people going in and ordering one and splitting it. That thing could feed 6 people easily. $4.00 per person, 1lb of burger+fixings. Not bad.
