Song called "Two sides" by Clawfinger

Here are the lyrics, just read.

Two Sides

There's nothing a god can give to me that I can't give to myself
I put my beliefs in the things I believe and a god can take care of himself
There's not enough love in the world for me to think about wasting my time
It's not that I don't believe at all but I don't need a heavenly sign
I can achieve the things I need without getting down on my knees
I can respect your religion but I don't want to pay your fees
I don't want to hear you talk about the things you think that I need
so don't help me back on my feet again until you can hear me plead
Just look in the holy book of crooks and tell me what you can find
All the rules and the regulations made to manipulate your mind
Don't pretend that you're blind just open your mind and study historical times
The bigger the loss the bigger the cost the bigger the cross and its crimes

I don't believe in a god that I need to worship
I don't believe that I need to get down on my knees
I don't believe that a voice from above can help me
I only believe in what I can see and the things that I can achieve

Whatever belief you belong to there's still always a reason to doubt
and there's always another opinion as to what life is all about
There's always a bigger dimension and a different point of view
so I don't want to try to change you that decision is up to you
Whatever your final choice is and however you choose to live

You'd better be happy for what you can get and happy for what you can give
There's only one thing to remember there is only one thing you can do
and that is to do unto others as you'd have others do unto you

I don't believe in a god that I need to worship
I don't believe that I need to get down on my knees
I don't believe that a voice from above can help me
I only believe in what I can see and the things that I can achieve

Two sides two sides to every story
two stories more makes four new ones to choose
Four sides four sides to every story
four stories more makes eight new ones to choose
Eight sides eight sides to every story
eight stories more now which one should you choose
now which one can you use

I don't believe in a god that I need to worship
I don't believe that I need to get down on my knees
I don't believe that a voice from above can help me
I only believe in what I can see and the things that I can achieve

I´m just realy realy surprised :)

Heh.

What happens if you don't believe something that is true?

It continues to be true and you make a fool of yourself.

I sense a deep seated fear in you Czar. You denounce the existence of god on a routine basis, and anytime you can work it into a thread around here you do. It's almost as if you need to prove something to somebody, perhaps yourself.

Too bad about that...

"There's not enough love in the world for me to think about wasting my time"

Loving, and developing a more perfect love for humanity is the primary direction the Bible provides

Whatever belief you belong to there's still always a reason to doubt

including this song!

There's only one thing to remember there is only one thing you can do and that is to do unto others as you'd have others do unto you

Where did that come from?

<< What a pathetic excuse for something to sing about. >>

And I suppose Christian music is just wonderful by your standards.

Well,

I like the song. I dont find it offensive, and it mirrors alot of my views (one, for instance, is rely on yourself, not on prayer). And I do believe in a God.

well, when i was a teenager i felt the need to argue all of these anti religion points with people just to piss them off. now im so tired of actually trying to explain myself to people that just cant understand because they believe what they believe. not that what they believe is wrong . its just that thats all they know. so i dont ask and i dont speak any more. ive grown out of being interested in philisophical and religious debates. it bores me. and so does modern music. that song sounds so cheesy. just my opinion though. im less into songs that mean something anymore and more into usic that makes me sing along or is funniner than sh!t! like nofx, theyre pretty funny in that Dead Milkmen kind of way ;)

Here's mine...

Title: Unholy
Artist: KISS
Written By: Gene Simmons, Vinnie Vincent
Album from: Revenge

I was there through the ages
Chained slaves to their cages
I have seen you eat your own
I'm the cycle of pain
Of a thousand year old reign

I'm suicide and salvation
The omen to nations
That you worship on all fours
I'm the infection and famine
That's knocking at your door

That's why you're feeling so

Unholy
Oh, I was created by man, you know I'm....
Unholy
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

I am the incubus
I lay the egg in you
The worm that burrows
Through your brain
But you are the beast
That calls me by my name

You send your children to war
To serve bastards and whores
So now you know
You created me
On the day that you were born

Unholy
I was created by man, yeah I'm the Lord of the flies, you know I'm
Unholy
From the left hand of power comes the father of lies
Unholy - Unholy!

(Instrumental break)

I lay you down to sleep
Your soul to keep
Better cross your heart before you die
And now you know
Know that you are mine

That's why you're feeling so

Unholy, Unholy, Unholy - Unholy!!
