Someday...I will do this.

You know how at a lot of ball parks they have ads behind the plate that show up on the TV.

A lot of places are switching over to green screens and the ads are digitally added to the live feed and can be changed whenver they want.

I am wondering what would happen if I were to get a seat right on top of one of them, and wear a chroma-key green shirt.

Someday I will find out.

I would have to make sure it is a game I can get recorded. And I don't know how I'd go about getting the shirt. I'd probably have to make some from actual chroma-key backdrop material or something.

Unfortuantely, I think the ads and ad space are digitally keyed in to that specific area. (Mask)

But would be really cool to see a floating head just behind the umpire during a baseball game. :D

Just be sure you let me know when you do that.

Also - for the masking thing - that's what I was thinking. I figure they would give it a rectangle area slightly larger than the chroma-keyed area and then let it go from there. But the camera moves - zooms in and out, etc. Not sure if they can zoom/move the mask with the camera automatically? It would be interesting to find more about the technology anyway.

This reminds me of that short-lived show with Nikki Cox (cleverly titled "Nikki") where she was a weather girl and found out people made a drinking game out of ogling her... she showed up to do the weather in a chroma-key body suit. Then the studio guys added a couple suns and a cloud...

what would be even better, is if these ads actually do appear on your shirt, you can try and demand some cash from the advertisers.

Using your image and person without compensation....hmm....

Yep, the camera moves, the ad moves with it, sorry but it won't work unless you somehow hung a body part in front of that space or you jumped the fence!

deck yourself out completely in chroma key clothes... head to toe... then get into the ad space and moon the camera
