Somebody want to explain OGG to me?

The name of the actual audio codec is Ogg Vorbis (or just plain Vorbis). Ogg is the name of the container format (hence the extension .ogg). In the future it may be possible to to store audio/pictures/video/other data in an .ogg file.

In short: Ogg Vorbis is an auido-compression format similar to mp3. Key difference between Ogg Vorbis and mp3 is that Ogg is 100% royalty free and it's open-source. Sound-quality is also better than on mp3.

also ogg files are smaller :)

Yes, it's possible to make ~3 kbps ogg files. Sure, they sound like crap (although surprisingly good considering the small size) but they're a lot smaller than MP3.
