I swear if i ever found out who did it and i had the opportunity to get within striking distance with my baseball bat some asswipe would be going to the hospital.

i noticed 3 charges that i did not make.

1. a shell station for 62.44
2. liquor store for 34.85
3. wal-mart for 53.15

the thing is, according to my bank all 3 transactions were all on march 4th and all done one minute apart, how is that possible???

I had that happen once (in Denver actually) and traced it down to a restaurant we went to.

I went straight to the manager and showed him the day, time and transaction.

He found she was doing it to a lot of people............ can you say busted.

Police came within ten minutes.

When I use my debit card it doesn't actually get posted until the bank processes it. They seem to do them in batches at at time, so I have had a few things I purchased a day or two apart but showed up all around the same time on the online statement.

Also, my debit is visa so I use it like a credit card, and any unauthorized charges I can challenge and get my money back. Never had to try it though *knock on wood*

So if someone drains your checking account and it results in any bounced checks, do you get all the NSF charges refunded too (from the bank and the merchant)?

Either way that's a huge pain the ass that never crossed my mind. Maybe I will get an ATM only card...

I got all of mine back.

I've dealt with a stolen cc in the past as well and disputing is about the same amount of hassle for both.

That happened to me two weeks ago. MY CC company's fraud division called me to see if I was in Canada to charge $75 in gas. luckily a $500+ attempt at walmart got rejected. Now filling out the fraud paperwork. The scarriest thing is that the CC is still in my hand!!!

Now that's justice! Did you get to see them drag her away?

Well that's good. Maybe not worth worrying about then.

My card number has been stolen from online retailers twice! I had to get new cards and new numbers issued each time. It is a pain in the ass when you have bill payments setup using the card. On of the times, they deactivated the card before sending out a replacement card, which is against the Terms of Service.
