What's so good about the USA? Freedom.
I lived in a communist country for 12 years to know what is like not to have freedom.
Reading the news I came across a paragraph on the article which i'm posting below message.
Gee, pretty soon I'm sure we will be forced to attend all political rallies, like or dislike the candidates. (A la communist style 🙂 )

Union members and any other protesters who make their way to the venue will be restricted to the parking lot of a nearby shopping center where guests will be directed to park their cars, according to Lt. Wade Kirby of the New Smyrna Beach Police Department.

Protesters throughout the country have stepped up complaints recently about aggressive handling by local law enforcement agencies, working in conjunction with the Secret Service,to keep protesters out of sight of the president, the national press corps, or even motorists along major thoroughfares. . Meanwhile, supporters carrying Bush signs are free to stand outside of designated protest zones.....

In the meantime.....

"In keeping with our heritage and principles, we do not use our strength to press for unilateral advantage," President Bush wrote in the foreword to the document. "We seek instead to create a balance of power that favors human freedom: conditions in which all nations and all societies can choose for themselves the rewards and challenges of political and economic liberty."

hmmmmmmmmm........................favors human freedom?? pllllzzzzzz....

It sure is and communism is a perfectly acceptable form of government. Sorry that it didn't work out for your country. 🙁

As if it will work here.

Oh I could make it work. Sure both of my posts have been sarcastic as hell, but with the thread author's title being such flamebait I couldn't resist.

I think the word you're looking for is totalitarian or dictatorship, not communist. Once you get past the basic definitions, guys like Bush-lite's Attorney General John Ashcroft make the question very relevant. The guy has assaulted the Constitution on many fronts, and he scares the bejeebers out of me. :disgust:

good point, however i guess my definition of communism is by association. Yeah, the technical term is definetely totalitarian/dictatorship, but when you live in a country that's ruled by a dictator/totalitarian, trust me, they dont come out and say, "my fellow comrades, our dictarshop/totalitarian regime..." they are more like,
"my fellow comrades, the imperialist yankees want to crush our communist, socialistic govt...." So i guess after so many years, dictatorship or totalitarianism, is the same thing as communism. Yeah, in the dictionaries they are not, but from my real life experience they are 🙂

And to another previous post---yeah, it sure wouldnt work in the usa. That's why protesters are being cracked down....ahem!

We have a serious problem called freedom.

Some prefer to exercise to the point that it interferes on others.

Then the authorities have to step in to prevent chaos.
It becomes a judgement call on when to step in.
Politics also come into play.

While there is merit to what EagleKeeper said, the practice of keeping those with opposing views toward the current leadership out of view, is communist and dictatorial in nature. And considering that the Canadian government recently tried to slip a bill through which would have made both the Christian Bible and the Koran hate literature, current behavior by both governments leads me to believe that individual freedom is at stake.
