Somebody start a change petition to get trump banned from Twitter

Get trump banned from Twitter, I swear he spits out more fake news and misinformation than Facebook and Russia combined!

Twitter has said that Trump loses his "public interest" protections the moment he's out of office, so don't be surprised if he gets the boot sometime after noon on January 20th.

Have no fear ... right wingers are flocking to Parler because it claims to support free speech. But they’re banning "liberals" (or whomever posts speech they don't like) all over the place. They also demand personal information, such as phone numbers, photos of driver’s licenses, and SSNs.

Sooooooo ... They also demand personal information, such as phone numbers, photos of driver’s licenses, and SSNs.

Lol ... What could possibly go wrong? - Not to worry though .... They only demand your SSN if you join their ‘influencer network.’ Whatever the fuck that is. I'm assuming its a way for people with a large social media presence to monetize their influence by selling endorsements. For instance ... They might have a post about Evil Joe Biden gamma rays that turn your babies gay, along with the statement that only Reynolds brand aluminum foil can keep them out, along with a link that will give them credit for any sale of Reynold’s wrap purchased by one of their followers.

Just so we’re clear here .... Parler is composed people who are perfectly happy to give up their SS# and drivers license information to a perfect stranger, but object to the burden or including a special character in their passwords?

If I was an identity thief I know where I would start hunting. If it turns out that Parler is just a big old identity-theft scam, I’m going to piss myself laughing.

God i hope Rudy "4 seasons" Giuliani and Ted "I have a ugly wife" Cruz has their identity stolen

Even if identity theft is not the intent, how long before someone hacks the no doubt badly secured database? Or steals the sheets of paper off the receptionist’s desk?

With the GOP threatening to take away our power to vote there is only one non-violent power we have left. That's the power to vote with our wallets. Whenever you see a crazy conspiracy theory or anything promoting division, violence or anti-democracy ideals take a screenshot with an advertisement on the page and send it to the company. Include a note saying you will no longer do business with a company that promotes these ideals, etc.Be sure to write their parent company to let them know you won't be needing their products or services. Also write the social network or media company to let them know what you've done. If enough people do this things might change. If not then democracy is dead our the country.

* I'm not talking about opinions. I'm talking about the crazy lies and misinformation spreading like wildfire threatening our way of life.

That would be great great GREAT NEWS! ... i.e a permanent ban.

Actually the SSN thing sounds like a good idea. Puts skin in the game and if you are running a shoddy foreign backed network it is known who you are.

Since Anthem and Equifax lost my confidential information, don't be surprised when another ch33zw1z pops up with my SSN. Sure, that not may have a Russian accent, but still got my SSN so cool.

Social media is bs, and parler has already been shown to ban speech they don't agree with. Oh well, the sheep need a shepard.

yeah I thought of this but even in that case, someone could go to the real ch33ze and ask him about the foreign payments. That ch33ze would obviously say “Huh? WTF!” account gets pulled and deactivated.
Also I agree my brief reading about Parlor is they have at minimum Facebook level editing right and they made it clear anything you don’t want to hear can be blocked by the user.

Start your own damn petition, if you think it will achieve anything. Don't just bitch and ask for "somebody" to do it for you.

Re: Credit fraud, ever hear about the fights over that? Identity theft victims? The suffering is real

Re: Parler - You can mute anything on other platforms as well. You don't have to "like" or "follow" or whatever on FB, TW, etc... Parler, like FB and TW, also has terms of service, and they will enforce them when they see fit. It's censorship, but censorship you agree to when you sign up, just like FB and TW. Parler is just capitalizing on dum dums who think FB and TW are out to get them, and that they're some open platform that supports "free speech", when they just support the speech that they're catering too. Putting lipstick on the pig, so to speak. Same pig, same rules, same reg's to follow.

I've said it all along, FB and TW (FB moreso) have not enforced their own ToS for too long because it generates massive amounts of revenue. So when they finally do, people get all crazy, and just ignore the fact that those being "censored" have been violating the ToS for quite some time and have had multiple infractions.

I'd sign up to ban Twitter.

Social media is a blight. Unfortunately, as the "War on Drugs (tm)" has shown us, when there is a demand there will be a supply. So banning it is no answer. The populace not being full of celebrity-worshipping morons would be the answer, seems a bit difficult to pull off though.

It's not guaranteed, of course, but Trump is the sort of person who really can't help himself. If he gets a ban, I wouldn't be surprised if it happened within days of his leaving office.

Uh, I have TW and FB accounts. I follow no living or dead human being. An organization or two, e.g. my volunteer gig, but I don't hang out there. Mostly I ignore FB email alerts. Too many rabbit holes, you can't jump down them all. I check one out every few weeks or so, it's usually pretty much a waste of my time. Could cancel my FB, I'm contemplating that, just for the privacy gain.

Ban Twitter? On what basis? Would that be legal? Twitter banning Trump would be super.
