Somebody shoot me, I just dropped $450 in Banana Republic.

Clothes shopping sucks. I try to do it once or twice a year only.

Speaking of clothes I gotta buy a suit soon.

Oh...whats that noise? it's the sound of a flat, empty wallet closing. Why can't everyone be nudist.

i get all my clothes at Sears. no real reason why, just no real reason why not.

that is, till my fat arse split out of the normal fieldcrest crap at sears, leading me to be forced to buy some better pants with a bigger waist. i went to old navy, and DAYUM, some fine fitting pants there for fatarses like me 🙂 gg mechanic's style 🙂

styles change. wear a suit from the mid 80s and see how out of place you look. also, don't change weight too much

I'm 19 now and the updating of the suits I'd imagine wouldn't be often at all when I'm older.

I train a lot and will look better as I get older till about 33 so no problems with weight. Height well I don't grow much taller then I am now.

return it if you are having buyer's remorse

btw-u should have went during kohl's 75% off sale last month...

3 pairs of dockers and a real nice shirt for $40 total!! 😀

8 shirts, 2 pairs of pants, and a belt. Half was at clearance prices so it wasn't too bad, I was just shocked at the total because I wasn't keeping count 🙂 I'll go to Old Navy next weekend and get 12 items for a hundred bucks.

I am a guy and do not mind shopping all that much. Do not do it often, so the few times I do it is kinda funny.

That and I have much better fashion sense than my woman.

Alas, I can not stand spending money being that I do not have any money.
So, shopping for anything new has been on hold for me.

Did buy some jeans and Dress shirt from Costco once though.

outlets are you friend 🙂 only time to get clothes is when u go to las vegas...there's 2 outlets on the way... (from LA)

I like Guess! I'll spend money at Guess or Banana Republic. But I only go shopping like once or twice a year. Clothes aren't all that important to me. 🙂

About suits - Classic styles are timeless, so as long as your done growing then i think 5 different suits would rock. I just have one decent suit right now since i'm 19 and still getting adjusted to this body - a $1000 Burberry. I run a business when i'm not in school and professionality matters.

Are you related to RossMan?

True dat.

CostCo does have some great bargains though. I saw some nice authentic Tommy Hilfiger jeans for $29.99.

In more ways than one...bank employee (but likes credit unions better), AT member, shops at Costco, I'm his clone!!! Or not...I don't have a Canon A40. 😉
Actually Costco has great clothes sometimes, Hilfiger (like the ones I'm wearing now) and Dockers pants, Perry Ellis dress shirts, and then they have some off-brand crap that I don't buy. You can't get everything you need there so that's why I do some of my shopping at Old Navy's. Great jeans and work slacks. Shirts are nice but I tend to go to outlet stores or Costco's for those. There's an outlet mall nearby that has a Van Heusen store in it that has dress shirts for like $10-$15.

I don't think I've shopped at a mall for clothes in ages. The last time I went to a mall store was to go to Abercrombie and Fitch. I had just gotten a new job(I was in college and going from $7 an hour to $11.50 an hour was a big deal to me) and I always wanted to go in there to "look cool". I dropped $100 on a pullover shirt and a button up dress shirt. While the clothes were good quality, I spent waaaay too much. I vowed never to do that again. I'm much more frugal now that I have a mortgage and car payment and wife.

Gack, BR tends to be SOOO overpriced for what you get (though talking with a Gap corporate employee recently, I found out that GAP makes the safest clothes in the industry) unless there's a sale.

Heck, I can walk right over to Lord&Taylor, Off5th (Sak's outlet), Nordstroms (during sales) or that customer service nightmare called Macy's and get even better clothes for the same or less. Latest find was a Kenneth Cole Vneck cotton sweater for $15. I do 70% of my clothes shopping in the mall... always during non-peak hours. Rest is Bob's Stores & GAP standalone stores for Tshirts, underwear, socks, etc.
