Somebody shoot me, I just dropped $450 in Banana Republic.

My biannual trip to the mall to buy clothes for work 🙁 I hate buying clothes so much. I make one lap around the store, pick up a bunch of junk and try it on as fast as possible. Total trip time was 30 minutes.

BR is evil, last time i was there i spent around what you did just on a jacket and a pair of shoes

Ouchie. :Q Clothes are expensive.
No, BR is expensive. They have kick ass clearance stuff from time to time that are a good 75% off, though.

and those items are still 75% profit

I spent almost $700 at Winston's Clothiers. 3 sets of Tommy Bahama slacks and 3 Tommy Bahama shirts. Average price per item = $100

I make a mad dash through Mervyns two or three times a year. I don't even try stuff on, just buy it. When I get home I try everything and if it doesn't fit my wife takes it back and gets an adjusted size.

Yeah me,if I can't buy it online I usually don't bother with it.I hate going to stores, too crowded.

Maybe I missed the memo, but is it like part of the nerd/geek/ATOT requirement to hate shopping and voice your shopping rituals?

Just sounds like a pathetic version of "whose is bigger"...some guys, I can understand, you just don't like shopping, but for the others to brag about it...

I'll just get flamed in return for this, but this, "rice" and racism really confound me sometimes on this forum. And if you haven't gotten it yet, yeah, I enjoy shopping.

going now. sorry. 🙂

Ditto.

I like to shop and buy clothes. When I'm older and if I end up in a corporate type of job I'll wear a different suit for everyday. That way 5 suits will last ages and it will also be smart and keep nicely.

$900 for a years worth of clothes shopping isn't that bad. I just buy stuff every so often or when I see something I like. But after a while you don't really need so much as you've got a lot so you spend less. Well i do now.

<---addicted to shopping. I spend most of my money on clothes and electronics. I'm trying to cut back on my spending now or i'll end up wiping out my checking account😱

But at least you look hot now?

Dunno...if i had $450 to spend on clothes..I'd probably blow it all at BR...
but then again....I'm asian....so I guess it's required that I dress the part.

styles change. wear a suit from the mid 80s and see how out of place you look. also, don't change weight too much

Shopping is fun if you go like Tuesday or Wednesday. I get out of school at 9:45, so I go right to the mall and its always empty.

I try and keep atleast a 2 week rotation so nothing repeats. It all ranges from Designers to Express and Gap...
